What do you know about one word rankings?

I haven’t been posting in a while, and now I have finally come across something that has got me to thinking. One of the most common mistakes that people make in search engine optimization is relying on a single keyword or a series of single keywords. However, single keywords are too competitive on search engines, and the fact that multiple websites use them means that the competition for these keywords is stiff. I personally think that the best way to actually avoid this competitive dilemma, and to smoothen online traffic, is to have websites utilize unique long-tail keywords. Do you agree with this?

this is why people are targeting for long tail keywords, it is still not very easy but to target 1 word you will need like 100,000 links to be ranked at the top

With one word it is harder to rank well. You should use a long tail to rank you on the first page. That how you will attract googles attension and then you can try your one word SEO.

You should never focus on one word, instead use 3-4 main keywords, and about 10 or more long tail keywords. It will look more natural, and you will have more traffic.
