  • Are you confident about yahoo e-mail security?

Just wondering, how sure are you that e-mails sent from and to your yahoo account is secure? Can we trust yahoo to keep our privacy safe?

I do not have anything agaist yahoo, I am a yahoo user as well. I love my yahoo account but because people are getting more intelligent each day, what is assurance that yahoo's online security is strong?

I don't think there is any insecurity with Yahoo Email unless there is something wrong at your side (like Keyloggers, Spywares, Open ports etc.).

I do trust Yahoo's security. I do get spam all the time and I hope there was a way not to get them, but I guess it's actually my fault for sharing my email address on public forums sometimes (I've stopped that now).

Yahoo is ofcourse secure at its side. But we have to keep security tight at our site. We should protect our computer from trojans and keyloggers

Well so far haven't encounter any problem with my account getting hacked. And with the constant upgrading in their service, I don't foresee any problem in the future as well.

I haven been using yahoo for a long time now and till now i have not faced any problem. I think all the major free email providers like yahoo, gmail, hotmail are safe enough and trustable.

Yesterday, I registered in couple of popular forums using Yahoo email ID. But I didnt get any confirmation email till now. Just few minutes ago I received it. I tired it again by making new Yahoo email and tested with my ISP email. ISP received confirmation right way and I am still waiting in Yahoo. These problems occurs all the time for me, I do believe Yahoo is Secured but it has to think about lots of other issues.

Anything you post on the Internet including email can be intercepted. It is not common but it can happen. I do not think that Yahoo email is any less or more secure than any web based email service. I personally have been using Yahoo since I have been Online (since Yahoo started email). I have never had a security problem with them and I have used their service for 98% of my email needs. I have a Gmail account but I hate the layout and use it rarely.
