Exactly what colour will my print out be?

Attempting to design my artwork. Im getting some booklets printed out. Does anyone understand what CMYK means since it can make the shades look completely different?

Found a good explanation on this web page poster printing. CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and also Black. These are the four colours employed in standard offset printing. These three colours as well as black roughly correspond to primary colours which are blended across the visible spectrum. This is how printed colours will be created. Setting the colours to CMYK will create the most reliable reflection of what the printing will appear like. Have had the printing carried out with them and it appears amazing.

A lot of useful information and facts in this article. I've found it hard to get a decent printer, because the quality differs greatly for the very same item. I finally got our printing using this superb company.
