      The simplest way of maintaining furniture is to use it carefully and keep it clean but by using Oil polishes, cleaners, and furniture oils protect wood by making the surface more slippery.

        Frequent dusting of your furniture will help maintain the luster of both oil and lacquer finishes. Use a dry, soft cotton cloth. on't place wet or hot objects on your wooden furniture. Use trivets and coasters to prevent damage, and wipe up spills promptly.

          Hello Koncept,

          As a furniture lover, we must do some prevention to make it lasts to our hands.

          FYI, wood furniture often contains non-wood components that require different methods of care and respond to different cleaning agents. You will consider all of the materials in your wood for proper overall care. Accidental stains, scratches and environmental factors such light, humidity and dust are the destroyer.

          These are the tips I can share to prevent your wood furniture from any damages:

          #Changes in the relative humidity (sudden changes) are the biggest concern for wood furniture.
          -- ideal home temperature for wood furniture is 70% degrees no more no less, as per expert says, if humidity exceeds 70% degrees temperature, - furniture and finishes cracks within humidity drops suddenly and piece contracts.

          #Absence of furniture oil will prevent wood furniture from dying out if relative humidity remains below 30% for extended period of time.

          # Air conditioner use in the summer and humidifier use in homes during the winter will help control the environment.Dehumidifiers should be used in rooms that are typically damp/during times of high humidity when air conditioner is not in use.

          #Keep table leaves near the table to which they belong when not in use so they are not exposed to the same environment as table expand and contract same rate.

          #Keep wood furniture away from heat vents, radiators and fireplaces to prevent from drying out.
          --Use a shield / divert er on heat vents if necessary.It is better to store it in unheated place since humidity will not vary as much as lower temperature.

          #Keep products containing alcohol and harsh chemicals away from your furniture's finish such colognes,perfumes, and nail polish remover, etc.

          Frequent dusting is badly needed since dust is abrasive and accumulates in hooks and crannies, carvings and grooves and in any cracks in furniture surface (dust's gets more difficult to remove).

          #Caution: When moving your furniture enlist enough help so you can lift the furniture instead of pushing it which can over stress joinery and legs.

          #Lift tables by their apron/legs rather than top which could tighten, detach or loosen.Lift chairs by seat rails not by their arms or crest (top back) rail.

          #When transporting wood furniture in vehicle; place the furniture on its back/top rather than legs. Carefully detach marble tops and transport/store them on their edge as you would a mirror.

          * Clean before protecting it.
          * Clean regularly your furniture (dusting), if need furniture polish you use furniture polish to maintain glossy.
          * Repaint/Polish if needed.
          * Cover sheets if not used (outdoor furniture).

          Hope this will give you ideas to prevent your wood furniture from any damages.

            Green cleaning techniques and products avoid the use of chemically reactive and toxic products which contain various toxic chemicals, some of which emit volatile organic compounds causing respiratory, dermatological and other conditions.
            Green cleaning can also describe the way residential and industrial cleaning products are manufactured, packaged and distributed. If the manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and the products are biodegradable, then the term "green" or "eco-friendly" may apply.

              You should paint and polish your furniture to keep it in the best shape. Wooden furnitures are prone to termites and hence should be coated with termite-repellent oils. Regularly dusting the furniture would also help in keeping it good for a long time.

                Maintaining natural wood furniture is to keep them in a dry place away from moisture. Artificial way to buy you buy a wood, wood paint is fine

                  Wood is especially susceptible to sun damage so treat regularly with coatings. Painting, staining and applying varnish will all build up a protective barrier that will reduce the amount of UV rays that permeate the wood, ultimately preventing cracking and splitting
