We all know social networking sites is a great platform for adding friends online,

but having great looks or beautiful face really matter in facebook.

I have seen that people having photogenic face have more friends than simple jack or jane.

I would like to know do you go by looks in making someone online friend?

Does looks really matter in social networking sites?

I would like to hear your views on it.

Yes, it matters. Some tend to search for a mate on FB that's why they prefer with good looks.

It is normal and human tendency to go after beautiful things. No matters if it is thing or a person. But as far as your question is concern I would say yes, Looks does matter

Have you ever asked yourself why do you want to lose weight or get that perfect hair-cut? A lot of us lay so much emphasis on outward beauty, on the colour of our skin, our hair and eyes that we forget to appreciate the beauty that lies within. Who doesn't want to look good? It raises your confidence level making you feel great about yourself. But when it comes to choosing your partner or even friends how much emphasis do you lay on looks? Does love diminish if the person's appearance doesn't match your appearance? Is our initial judgement of people based on superficial criterion alone?

As shallow as it sounds, YES it does. But if you are a someone in another platform, like a well known marketer on Twitter with thousands of followers, a person who would be relevant in my niche, or a smart guy that contributes a lot (not a spammer), I'll even be the first one to send you a friend request, regardless of how you look.
