    Is Jammu and Kashmir is safe place to visit?

    I have heard lots of things about jammu and kashmir is that it is not safe. Is it true?

    Your Concern is right But My personally Experience is Jammu and Kashmir is safe for tourist. If You want to visit Kashmir please be in your mind. That Kashmir has a problem with the Indian rules, Not with the India people or any other country people.

      Jammu Kashmir is the best place & safe for the journey. No more issue to visit this place. Enjoy family trip there.

        I would say YES it is completely safe. Kashmir is a site of strategic importance for India and a part of Kashmir is occupied by Pakistan (called PoK). No doubt, there were some militant activities in Kashmir in 80's but that's a 2 decades old story. Now there is peace and harmony. Also since the eruption of militancy in the valley anti-insurgency forces have been deployed for countering any unexpected incident. These forces used to stay in the hotels near major tourists areas in a rather haphazard manner. And it turned out that watching these military bunkers and security personnel, the tourists felt insecure and terrified as if the place was vulnerable. So now the forces have vacated the hotels and have been allotted alternate accommodation by the state government. This has created a more free, natural and safe space for tourists.

            Jammu and Kashmir is best place to spend vacation for single or with spouse. It is safe and secure.

              Some places of these cities are safe and very beautiful but at some time some places in this state are unsafe.
