  • Security in Dedicated servers

Dedicated hosting server providers utilize extreme security measures to ensure the safety of data stored on their network of servers. Providers will often deploy various software programs for scanning systems and networks for obtrusive invaders, spammers, hackers, and other harmful problems such as Trojans, worms, and crashers (Sending multiple connections). Linux and Windows use different software for security protection.

When you are hosting on a dedicated server then there are many things you should know about improving security. For example, if you use FTP server, which many of us. Make sure that only allowed when in use. If not, then turn it off. Left allowed could attract a hacker, it would be one of those holes that you mentioned.

      2) Use SSH Keys to login and no password
      3) Add a firewall even if it is a software firewall
