Dedicated servers with SAN?

I am not sure why you felt the need to criticise Tom's post in a thread that you had not even posted a solution in. If Tom's response is not adequate, then the requester has the option to request more details or take up an alternative, or why you felt the need to be pedantic about the uptime statement. I can only assume that Dedipower are beyond reproach.

As Tom stated in his introduction to WHC, he is fairly new to dedicated hosting sales. His customer care skills are excellent, so I was pleased to seem him take up this new challenge. There are thousands of web hosting companies out there, but only a few dozen are true hosting companies like HostDepot.com.

I'd recommend you to choose Dedicated hosting provider who's datacenter is geographically close to your target audience. Also a host that is fairly close to you, since you'll be the one accessing the servers the most.

I guess you need to consider cloud hosting instead of dedicated server if you would like to use SAN storage.

It's just the term refers to the purpose of the server. Dedicated server means it will be use to host certain application only for example dedicated server for email means the server is only used as a email server only
