Can you make a lot of money being a reseller?

I see more and more reselling companies everyday.

Most offer the same thing and most do not offer something the other can't provide. My question is, with so many CHEAP and or FREE resellers out there...can you make a profit with being a reseller?

Guess all depends on the company itself. The main thing is to choose the right reselling with in-house support. Say HostWW.net provides many resource effective plans that will bring good income to their owners.

I have never been a reseller and I don't like reseller hosting.
The best hosting are done in your own dedicated server and with your own control panel.

If you offer good resources, you can naturally make a lot of money.

As for me, it depends on the company`s support staff and a bit of miracle, you know. Of course, you can make money being a well-educated, enthusiastic, extra-ordinary, charismatic reseller! :-))

I don't know about "a lot" of money. It really depends on the site and owner.
If you have a lot of clients, they promote their site a lot and you're running ads on all of those sites, then sure. You can easily make some good money.

I've done a little resale hosting made about $30 but was only for like 2-3 weeks until the host pissed all over me and my customers.

Not trying that again next time i'm gonna buy a dedi then resell.

if you or anyone really want to make money for being a web host then remember one thing. that never go with cheap reseller. if you found some one giving you 100GB reseller account in 100$ per year never go with him/her. he/she will beat your clients and degrade your company level after few months.

its a risky business but if you are in profiting position then you will be in rich otherwise you will be loser and have to leave the business

• Have chosen good and reliable provider
• Made promotion and advertisement correctly
• Stated reasonable prices for services
• Provide high quality service
• Support your customers
• Do not oversell.

Being Straightforward, but from a point of view from running small business and mediums ones as well. I would say that it is very risky, and that you need to think very hard on what would make your hosting UNIQUE. There are too many hosting companies now, it is very common now.
