I was switched one of my domain to an existing directory so however i want to drive traffic to my new domain which comes to old domain
do i need to setup this under host cpanel if yes then please tell me

simply create an index.htm or index.html file and place this code into it

you can change time duration and domain name with your own needs

If you are on Cpanel you can easily use the domain redirection tool, you can also use meta or use .htaccess. YOur already done here

You would suggest to set 301 redirection using .htaccess as it is helpful in SEO. META redirection is not recommended for SEO.

most of the time i would suggest using the built in redirection tool on your control panel, it makes life a whole lot easier for the people out their who are not good with code and files lol.

I think there is two methods , one you create an index.() and put some command that will redirect it or the most easiest way is directly using CPANEL.

It is better to use the 301 redirection through the .htaccess directives. If you are not sure how to use it - you can search in google and there are lot of websites that offer instruction on how to implement 301 redirects.

Making a 301 redirection through .htaccess is the best way to do it.That way Google will
know your current site redirected to this new place. your SEO loss will be minimize this

Personally, EVERYONE should be doing this for their sites. A ready made .htaccess to point all errors to one spot. Otherwise your losing lots of traffic.

Look at what ALL the SEO tools do out there and why? They all have redirect and 404 error pages ready.
