I`ve heard of this everywhere, But can someone say me what exactly is SafeMode ?

Well is Windows OS safemode is when windows just load the basic elemments needed.
In this mode you can repair your sistem.

With safe mode the spy and viruses don't open, so open your antivirus and scan pc , then your pc is slow

I assume you are talking about the safe_mode in php. The php safe_mode is an attempt to solve the shared-server security problem. With safe mode On, it disables or redirects several php functions that could lead to security problems on a server. There are several work arounds for this. You can write a php program/script such that doesnt use the functions or you can turn safe_mode off. All of our servers have safe_mode On, with only the individual accounts that need it off. We do this by adding

php_admin_flag safe_mode Off

in the individual virtual host file in httpd.conf.

I dont know what you are talking but what i know means safe mode is to use windows in safe when we cant able to use windows in normal mode

I usually use my Window Xp CD, and select 1 option, then presss R to repair all my drives, after that my omputer get faster than usual.

It is a way to protect the server from potential attacks. Restart the server by ssh with safe mods turned on. It will run faster than ever!

Its a very helpful thing when your system is brkoen , windows doesn't start etc. You use safe mode when such problems accure to repair your pc .

Safe mode is used to do diagnostics on you PC or Laptop. Don't know about Apple Mac's though, never needed one! Here is a little something I think some of you might find useful the enter safe mode and come back out of it:

1. Click on Start and then Run.

2. In the text box in the Run window, type msconfig and click OK. This will open the System Configuration Utility program.

Note: Do not make changes in the System Configuration Utility other than those outlined here to avoid causing serious system issues. This utility controls a number of startup activities other than those involved with Safe Mode.

3. Click on the BOOT.INI tab located at the top of the System Configuration Utility window.

4. Check the checkbox next to /SAFEBOOT and click OK.

5. You will then be prompted to either Restart, which will restart the PC immediately, or Exit Without Restart, which will close the window and allow you to restart the PC manually.

6. After the restart, the PC will automatically boot into Windows XP Safe Mode.

Note: Windows XP will continue to boot into Safe Mode until the System Configuration Utility is configured to again boot normally.

7. When your work in Safe Mode is complete, click on Start and then Run. Type msconfig in the text box and click OK.

This will again open the System Configuration Utility program.

8. Choose the Normal Startup radio button and click OK.

9. You will then be prompted to either Restart, which will restart the PC immediately, or Exit Without Restart, which will close the window and allow you to restart the PC manually.

10. After the restart, the PC will boot into Windows XP normally and will continue to do so.

I've gone into safe mode a couple of times when my computer has acted up. I don't try to fix anything though. I'd rather start my computer over again and go in the regular way. My husband is the computer person so he handles all that.

I use safe mode alot, just hit F8 while booting and select safe mode, alot easyer

On a mac you press F8, then type -s for command line, or -v for a safe-mode like thing.

And dont use safemode if you want to host some www based game :P
