There are several ways to set up multiple IP addresses on a computer:

1. To have multiple network interface cards (NICs) on your computer and to assign a different IP address to each card.
2. To assign multiple IP addresses to a single NIC.
3. To combine 2 previous options: have multiple NICs with multiple IPs assigned to one or more of them.

By default, each network interface card (NIC) has its own unique IP address. However, you can assign multiple IP addresses to a single NIC.

From what I know (which isn't a lot!), multiple IP addresses are generally used within SSL for the varying domains as well as for SEO purposes as I don't think that SEO work is valued by search engines on different sites on the same ip addresses and also VPNs and proxy.

Multiple IP address create a lot of feeling to me. But for VPS I think no more than 5 IP address are better option as VPS is just resouce restricted atmosphere.

How can I get multiple IP addresses for my computer?

I am not using any kind of special software to illegally purchase tickets. It's just me, and my one computer with IE and Netscape open.
