All the hosts are good but the quality of service makes the difference if you going to buy a hosting for $10/MO then it will be good !

I recommend Hostgator.com and also there are many private servers ,
I have hosted in my friend's server which is a private server !

There are lots of free hosting sites just google. I reffer Freehostia it's easy and great .

For free domains I reffer Dot.tk . It is very cool because there are no www.yourwebpage.Webhosting.com or smth just .tk

i would say http://godaddy.com and http://hostmonster.com

godaddy is very good because if you're not certain of your future website's succes, you can only buy 1 month host, and then you could extend the contract with a period you'd like.
