Proxy hosting question

I was wondering why do most free hosts out there don't allow proxy sites to be hosted?

I have never owned a proxy site. Most of the hosts do not allow proxy sites because I think that such sites require a lot of system resources and bandwidth as they are opening an entire site through their hosting. This can cause problems in free shared hosting accounts. Therefore they do not allow proxy sites.

If u want a proxy hosting then search for a website that gives much high bandwidth.
That is mainly with a paid hosting. The highest bandwidth that i have seen is from www.i6networks.com (1 TB )

I have seen higher bandwith but i don remember that site where i have saw it... Later i will try to search for that page

Proxy sites usually take up a lot of bandwidth, but that ain't the main problem. The servers can't cope with proxies because they use up way too much resources.

Not all hosts allow proxies to be hosted on their servers, because they are high-traffic sites when done well, and that means they use up resources that most unlimited shared hosting companies would rather keep free as explained by proxy-software.
