can cheap hosting be quality hosting?

The topic is in the title, I just wanted to know if the so called affordable, or cheap hosting can be quality? I'm talking about the basic features of the package, decent uptime (at least 99,5%) and sensitive support. If you are using cheap hosting services of 1&1.com, webhostingbuzz.com or the like companies, please, share your experience.

Yes, of coarse. Even though we are used to the fact that something cheap usually sucks....there can be cheap good deals out there.

you can read testimonial from other site.. or try to look review for cheap hosting. They will till you if that hosting is good or not. Hostgator.com offers affordable yet reliable hosting

Well, it really debends. Mostly cheap hosting isn't quality hosting, but IF it's launched by a big company and it's annual offer, it will have the same quality as the rest of the services. So yes, but rarely.

I believe they can be quality hosting. I use a free host (freehostia.com) and I am with them for a year already with only 2 downtimes.

Yes there are some cheap quality hosting services, but they are hard to find. one simple funda to find a quality hosting is picking up new hosting services ( recently started ) , they give quality services to make there reputation in the market. But they do sucks after a year or so, so if you can pick a new host every year and take profit of quality services.
but i would like to give a word of caution that you should not give your data and detail to scam sites while looking for a cheap host

I dont think so.. Cheap = poor... If you need to pay cheap i think the service is very bad and the quality of hosting is bad too.. better choice another hosting...but sometimes where you need to pay high the quality is bad too so look at the criteria what you need to do... host who and how..

cheap hosting is not best at all but mostly peoples like to use.because they never afford pay hosting.

I think cheap hosting services can be quality hosting. For example, I used to ... use Surpass Hosting and I just love them so yeah I think we can get quality even if it's cheap
