  • 1&1 v/s Godady

1&1 has a low reputated domain system whereas Godady's domaining is quite good.
On the other hand Godady's hosting is poor, as well as of 1&1
what do you say about it.?

Well Its depends I think. Only bad thing I see on Godaddy is that they don't have Cpanel. Their own control panel is not every user friendly till you get to know it. Other wise Is good for forums than any other shared hosting provider.

man the same problem exists in 1and1 too they do not even have cPanel and there own control panel is not good for experienced webmasters like us

Again 1and1 does not have auto installer(like Fantascio) for the scripts..

yes both godaddy and 1and1 do not have cpanel
but you can try hostgator and hostmonster if you want cpanel.

go daddy does not have cpanel but i prefer it to 1&1 because it is much easier to host from my perspective and the domaining is really good.

Setting up sub domains is bit hard in Godaddy ( Only in first time when you try ) They have a unusual way how to do it.

You are right, but that's why you have help files and tickets.

both 1&1 and Godaddy have their downsides but you should look at what they have to offer and then choose, lets say the godaddy tickets answered faster then 1&1(only an example i don't really know), the hosting is faster and more reliable in 1&1, that cPanel problem is just a temp problem i got used to Godaddy's panel in like a week.

I think you have valid point, cpannel problem is temporary but what would rather be more considerable would be it's reliability.

I would never go with 1&1 again. They have caused a lot of problems for a lot of people in the past.
I love GoDaddy though. I just wouldn't use their web hosting. Domains are another thing though. GoDaddy is the only place I have domains now.
                    I prefer GoDaddy!

Yes and I agree that Godaddy support is fast, But if you have used or had used their hosting you wouldn't put faith on their hosting support staff. they usually just copy and paste things from help files doesn't know much about hosting. and you cant say their help files are much good too.

Its lot faster asking in a popular webmaster forum. You get more accurate and faster answers.

A customer shouldn't have to always rely on support tickets. They shouldn't have to use it that often.
Their hosting is alright but it's not top notch.
Maybe Google will buy them out and then they'll be the top web host. hah
