  • what is the best shared hosting

    Hello,
I am looking for the best shared hosting.
My choices are bluehost, hostgator, dreamhost, which one do you recommend?

    thanks.

I don't tell you that the companies you mentioned are bad, but I think you should search for more reliable companies such as Vistapages.com, lunarpages.com and Ahosting.biz, because they can provide you with great hosting services for affordable prices. They are optimized for application hosting and provides more security, reliability and speed than traditional web hosts.
So, you may compare them to achieve the most productive and successful result.

The best hosting is that one which suits you, according to particular needs, and budget.

I would not recommend you going with bluehost because that company oversells. I would rather go with something cheaper. For instance, I can name Webhostgiant.com - this company has one of the lowest prices on the net and provides number of free features.

Have a look, I think it is not senseless.

i m agreed with you. but i have found almost 98% of all web hosting providers from usa are overselling. well i well suggest to go with ixwebhost or get some vps. as no one allow you to use 300GB :P which they are offering, according to Fair use policy you will find shared hosting as useless and garbage. as there is no one who allow you to use more then 2% of there cpu.

I think Hostgator hosting service is better than other 2 which has mentioned. But I don't have personal experience of any of them. I have used Godaddy and if you dont want cpanel but want resources like VPS but for less price then they are good.

Dont know about the other 2 hosts, but I have experience with hostgator since 2 years & am satisfied with it (though they are slow to update free addon software)... In general, its good host... remember that hostgator only provides linux based solution, no windows based hosting...

I have also ********** hosting and I found it better than hostgator... they also provide windows, java, cold fusion besides linux based hosting...

I think the best would be the one you like. I mean the one that gives best offers. the one that is the easiest to use and i don't have much experience with this but i would recommend dreamhost.

I'd add this list with quality services from GlobalTap.com, Site5.com and AYKsolutions.com.
Their stable network, everyday backup and low prices make the web site to run smoothly.

There is no anything best. There only are most suitable hosts for certain requirements.
Requirements could be divided into two groups - universal, like customer support, or uptime, and custom, like bandwidth or HDD amount, certain software availiability. The person which is asking for a help of choosing has to post requirements he would need to host some content, which are a combintation of universal and custom, or at least universal alone.
Otherwise you would recieve only company names like this:
I have had a good experience with ServerPoint.com and think they are the best.

Or maybe you have asked this because you were bored?

A best service for a individual depends on his/her needs, i feel that godaddy's shared hosting are good for light sites.
