Much depends on what are you going to host at the account. IÐ this is a small personal site or forum you migh not need any multidomain, but if you are haveing several domains and/or sites, then the choise is also obvious.

It is best to start with one domain, experminet with that one then add more domains.
If you are going to choose a company to host the sites for you, and if you are relitively new to this I strongly advise a company that has a good ticket support system to help you in getting your sites running.
