free or paid? which is better..

Dear friend,
I think the free servers will suck us. But the paid servers will make us suck in getting money from us. So at the intial stage which one do you prefer. What eve r may happen, i will go for paid servers becuase i need efficient server uptime.

I really can't think of any cons for the free ones, or any pros for the paid ones.Because it's not guaranteed you're going to find anybody. So why should you have to pay.

A free host will have many limitations on what you can control through your FTP , and you more than likely will not have an email address with it. You will have a very long URL, that is not exactly what you want, and more than likely have to have ads on your site for the host. Then the biggest problem with a free host is the lack of support, you will more then likely have no or very little support.

You know I prefer to usehosting services from cheap companies (webhostgiant, godaddy, etc.) but dependable.
Services are supported well.
Free hosting is free in all aspects with no support at all.

i think it depends on whether you have a long-term plan, as you have chosen to use paid one, you must experience the free trial before you decide.

It all really depends on how serious you are regarding your website and it's uptime and availability. Paid hosting will normally guarantee you better results.

but for personal important sites i will never go for free hosting, but for fun sites and experiments its fine

I would prefer paid hosting because you will get more disk space, bandwidth and many other options including softwares and most importantly will get good support service.

It is always to go for the free option and if you find that there are certain disadvantages in the process then you can think of having the paid one.
