advice choosing host needed

[Khfbdish]

Hi, I'm looking for advice on what kind of host/solution to go for.

I'm running a website for a record label (mikrowave dot co dot uk) and need to offer streaming audio, as well as the ability for users to download large files (about 50-100mb). I've been using 1and1 and a lot of users have been contacting me saying that downloads have been freezing (at 2mb) or failing. I can only presume that its the poor nature of the 1and1 shared server.

i need about 10 gigs of space and about 30 gigs bandwidth a month. also something that can easily deal with 5-10 users downloading at the same time.. as it might happen at some point.

i'm hoping to pay less than $30.. either for shared or vps

any advice much appreciated!
