FTP access in a webserver

is ftp access gonna make my web go down? I want users to be able to upload their stuff ( images) to my server and be able to be uploaded via ftp if they wished to make it that way

Id like to know if a shared hosting will crash if I activate such feature..

That definitely won't happen. There is no reason why an ftp would be responsible for taking down a server. Ofcourse you need to ensure the amount of data doesn't exceed the quota, also check with your host about the total number of concurrent connections that you can have at a given point of time.

Your website must not be blocked by enabling FTP. This would make the idea unnecessary, since most people use FTP instead of a simple editor. Anyway, I hope that answers your question!

The idea is to make it as easy as possible for people. I do not know that many websites have the option to upload images via FTP in a free society and besides that change the size of em.
