Re: What do you look in a webhost?

There are several different factors I look for in webhost. Some you have already mentioned.
Uptime: This is a very important factor as I bet we will hate to see our site down when customers visit them. My web host should maintains at least a 99.90% of uptime.

Hosting Features: Should be able to offer all the hosting features that I need. Such as php and mySQL.

Customer Reviews: I have learned from my past experiences, this is one critical factor to consider. Always do your homework. Check in google and forums to make sure the web host have reviews. Either good or bad. Bad will let you know to avoid it. Good allows you to keep it on the list.

Customer Support: Make up some questions if you really don't have any to test their support. If they can't respond you in 24 - 48 hours, that is bad. Unless there are mailing problem or something? Customer support is very important as well.

Terms of Services: Always read the TOS and make sure there is no naughty tricks inside it that will get you banned without refund etc.

Price: reasonable price. Does not overcharge etc. And will be best if the web host gives you Money back guarantee. If you have a good services, you shouldn't be afraid to give customer trial period.

These are the ones I can think of for now.
