Yeah, security is a big concern. I assume it's free because you are sharing a massively crowded server with too many other people. And I assume that if it's free, they aren't investing in a lot of service, like good security. I would say you should try to find some reviews on any company that you are considering. It might give you a better picture of what you are actually getting for your money.
