Hello friends,

I'm going to make/host a website soon and i narrowed it down to two hosts: fatcow and godaddy. They both have unlimited space/bandwith, no hidden taxes, plus they are pretty cheap.

Which do you think is better? Or do you think I have it all wrong and some other host is better? Please let me know.

fatCow is a brand owned by EIG. EIGs are known for their incompetent customer support and upselling their addon products. I'd not suggest you to go with them. Here is a list of EIG companies. Note that, the list may not be complete.

If you are looking for hosting you should buy it from a provider whose primary product is hosting. GoDaddy does not fit into that category, and to be honest, it also has a very long history with negative reviews.

I never had any problem with my GoDaddy account, which is pretty interesting. This is the only online company that I used without asking for support. I guess what I'm trying to emphasis on, is self-explanatory. I had several registered domains with them. Still have one. Everything is pretty straightforward and automated from the initial purchase to termination. They offer a lot of features. For me it's not much important. I never experienced any downtime. For the value you get what you pay for. I'm pretty satisfied with GoDaddy because I'm not really interested facing issues that force me to go through the struggle of dealing with customer service guys, period!
It offers the cheapest service in the market of hosting. It can get you started with little money. I recommend their services to small companies and Entrepreneurs.
