Has anyone ever used lynda.com before? I know they are mainly web design tutorials, but I am pretty sure they have some web hosting tutorials. Any info on them?

I had never heard of them before this post, so I went to go check them out. They look pretty decent in my opinion, but I think it's a waste. They are so many good web design and hosting tutorials all across the web; it's really a shame to have to pay for them. I think you'll learn more from personal blogs and personal-written tutorials.

      Nvr heard of them too..

I agree with Frikkle, there are so many FREE web design tutorials available on the net. You just have to be consistent and not lazy to find it through Google.

Plenty of blogs discussing about designing available through directories. Search for them and you'll definitely find one

I went ahead and signed up for 1 month. It was a little expensive but you learn a ton. Every possible program you could need to learn is on there. I would suggest some of you try it out

Never tried them, but it doesn't hurt to have a place where all the information is in the same place. But there is a free alternatives if you want to look for them.

They have some Server Side Programing tutorials that are really cool. Also they have some simple tutorials on using popular CMS systems, as for hosting, I'm not to sure but all of their tutorials are of grate quality.

I've hosted with Lynda.com in the past, and I found them to be very good, the tutorials were excellent, but I've learned it all now and no longer need to go there

Lynda is good, but expensive. I've bought one cd, which had php training. I was satisfied for it and I think they can make excellent guides. However, they are expensive, so stick with free ones, if you want to keep your purse fat.
