BEst free hosting company

Hi guys. I'm looking for a free hosting company, and I've received many offers. Now it's time to see which one is the best.

I'd need to host some sites, the amount can grow (maximum 10) and all of them would need their own subdomain.

Also : UNI.CC should be supported.
Every site uses xHTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL.

The amount of traffic wouldn't be high, but I would need an option to upgrade it. I don't need a lot of space, but also, I'd need an option to upgrade it.

Offers I've received / possible hosts
- thedarkknight , a FWS member. www.bbexpress.net is his current site. His host-site is offline because of a re-design. I think he gets the most chance to host my site .


- Cybertoad Networks . Problem is that they don't support UNI.CC domains and they aren't really fond on giving away subdomains. They do give away subdomains, but not that much.

- Yurx

I think hostgator is good as hosting.. however it is almost free just one penny.. which is nothing to us.

I am not aware of such offer from Hostgator. Is there a a promo code for this? If you have, maybe you can post it here if it still valid.

ya it is still valid. And there are lots of promo codes for this one penny hosting. try the promo code "404PAGE"... this is only applicable for the Second Shared Hosting Plan only.. which is Braby Croc.. their hosting is really faster than ever. You'll be satisfied once you are hosted. I am now verified user with them, I have OpenSSH access etc.

Well, I wont recommend free at all!

One major issue, they shut down your acocunt without any warnings in most cases. Go with paid, they are responsible and reliable(not all) but still, I prefer paid against free.

Ultimately, my opinion on the subject is that you get what you pay for. Free hosting is worth what you paid for it :P

How many sites do you need to host to start? My host will increase the storage (100Mb to 12.5Gb) and bandwidth (1Gb to 125Gb) as your website grows.

Obviously, no host is ever the 'best' host, it's only a matter of which one best meets your needs. And since you haven't really explained what features you need it's difficult to select the best service. IsMyWebsite offers PHP, MySQL, CPanel, Fantastico, PhpMyAdmin, CGI, ASP, Full Support, Ad Control (place and configure your own ads), and a few others but I'm not sure what you're looking for.

Something to think about: You should always email the admin of a host to see if he answers when you're thinking about hosting. If he doesn't that's the support you can expect when you sign up. If support doesn't matter look for the host with the most reliable server, best feature set, and enough storage.

I think freehostia offers the best free hosting service. They have a control panel interface and relatively easy to use.
