Google has a new search algorithm, the system it uses to sort through all the information it has when you search and come back with answers. It’s called “Hummingbird” and below, what we know about it so far.

This update to the algorithm focuses more on ranking sites for better relevance by tapping into the company’s Knowledge Graph, its encyclopedia of concepts and relationships among them, according to Amit Singhal, Google’s senior VP of search.
