I think it,s depends on your business, what you’re selling and the nature of your audience. If you’re offering something with a lot of visual appeal to a well-defined audience, Facebook is a good fit. For local businesses that want to stand out from the competition and grab consumers while they are shopping, Google might be your best bet.

That is one of the most generalized thing that I have ever heard. How you budget your money and time will differ depending on your niche, but Google AdWords and Facebook are both great marketing mediums for EVERY business. To say Facebook is only good for fashion or Google AdWords is only good for tech is a gross misstatement.

I would say that to know how much to budget to each medium you would need to really look at your marketing strategy for your business. Google Adwords is all about showing up in the Google SERPS. This is useful for promoting your business online in general and reaching a wide audience that expands beyond your Facebook circle. But this also has incredibly high competition and requires that you book on the right keyword to even show up. This can also get to be expensive, so really consider this budget and the types of keywords that you are booking on. Obviously nothing really competes with Google, since they rule the market. But I would encourage you to optimize your site for search first on your own in ways that won't cost you anything - like optimizing your website content. When you feel that you have enough in your budget, then AdWords is a good idea, but only when you have already done all of the other optimization work on your site yourself.

Where a basic Google search casts a very wide net, Facebook, on the other hand, is extremely good for more personalized marketing and building a community around your brand. Facebook has the widest reach of all social media, so it shouldn't be underestimated. Many businesses are using Facebook in their marketing strategies and are doing quite well. That being said, businesses are also investing in other social media sites, like Instagram and SnapChat. But that's a whole different ball game. In order to successfully advertise on Facebook, you need to keep a few things in mind. Like this article explains, you need to consider your campaign structure, your target group, budget and schedule, and ad designs. It actually outlines each step quite well and is worth a look if you are seriously considering marketing and advertising on Facebook.

So, all of that to say....you should have a well-designed marketing plan that budgets for both, but really know where the strength of your business lies. That will help you better know how to budget yourself across these marketing platforms.

If you have budget why not to use both paid ads for better conversions in the site but still need to analyze to improve effectiveness in the field.

Both are good depends upon your need. If you want organic traffic for specific keyword then google adwords is best. But if you want social media traffic then Facebook ads are the best. Also both have different budgets plans so you must consider your budget before choosing one of these sites.
