    What is deep linking

  • #2
Deep linking can serve as an integral part of user experience and growth efforts or in your overall marketing campaign. Deep linking is a fancy way to refer to an URL that points to a specific part of an app. It is analogous to an URL that points to a subfolder of a website. Without deep linking, the recipient would get dumped into whichever view they last visited before closing our app. This could be the main shop view, a different product category etc.

Deep Links: These are links to pages under many levels. Usually in web design, a web page structure should not be too deep (no more than level 4), it will be hard for the user and the search engines to index.

In the context of the World Wide Web, deep linking is the use of a hyperlink that links to a specific, generally searchable or indexed, piece of web content on a website (e.g., "http://example.com/path/page"), rather than the website's home page (e.g., "http://example.com/").

Deep linking refers to the link building process where the internal or product page is directly linked to the external domain. This helps to redirect traffic directly to the business or product page and generate more leads for your business.

Deep linking has only begun to spark mild controversies in recent times as the Web has become more commercialized. In fact, one of the fundamental strengths of the Web is the ability for any public document to connect to any other public document.
