phpBB V SMF

I use smf , its far the best free forum software, though it depends on what features you want. SMF has a lot more features such as attachments, spell check, sub-boards, a quick reply box, unlimited poll options (256 by default)

I use SMF on 5 sites and it works perfectly fine. According to me, its the best software after Vbulletin.

My first forum was running phpBB and the it broke my database and I have lost all of my users (I was a newbie webmaster and I didn't know about backups).
This happened because I was using a Beta version.
The main problem with phpBB is that it isn't easy to customize but it has very nice themes.
The problem with SMF is that there are only a few themes so every SMF forums look very similar to each other. I can't decide.
I use MyBB and I like it!
