What is the procedure of creating a color gradient in Photoshop? How can i create a picture transparent?

I'm not an expert on the gradient part, but for the picture transparency you can mess around with the Opacity bar or the Blending options.

I think it isn't a big deal to make a color gradient in Ps.

1. Make a new document with any color.
2. Make a new layer or unlock the existing layer
3. Double click on layer or go to the FX to open Blending Option
4. choose Gradient Overlay to make your colorful gradient.



Your 2nd question is, You want to make a picture transparent, You can call it clipping path or remove background from picture. First, You need to select the basic object there in a picture. Second, delete outside of the picture to make it transparent. Sometimes, background or image complexity can cause to transparent bg, perfectly. So, you need to ensure yourself best on it. Just select Gradient tool in left side and also you can press "G" shortcut for gradient.
then after you need to choose colour and gradient style on left top.
after selecting this you can draw gradient effect.
