Java Programming - the best.!!

Hi all,

How many go in hand with my point. Java is the best programming language I used ever. Can anyone say that you have a good replace for this PL...??

Discuss here... If you find any dis advs in this PL I wud like to clear everyone's doubts on this....

I do agree mate.Java is the best of the best.I really feel comfortable working with java because it's the easiest to use and most powerful tool for programming.

Wow, are you talking about using Java in a website or as a language to design an application?

If you are talking about for the web then ok, but if you are make an application with Java then thats another story.

Use C++ or Visual Basic, but not Java.

no doubt java is the best programming language, it is platform independent but upto some extent.. java is used to develop some application where if you have to create platforms like operating systems then VC++ is the king

Java is compiled into a special machine code that is then interpreted. Java code does not perform as fast as C++. The interpreter however protects the machine on which it is running from errors that can break operating systems in C++. Furhter the same (compiled) code can run on many different systems: Compile-Once-Run-Anywhere. So a Java program can be transmitted across a network to a machine of a different type, with a different operating system, and different graphic user interface. There it will run safely and securely (in theory) and look-and-feel as if it was programmed for that system. Doing this with C++ is extremely expensive.

I agreed Java is a very good language with very good range of features but if we talk about easyness then .net comes into the picture.

yes, I completely agree with the statement and i love to use it (java).It is renowned for its robustness and due to this is now used in even mobile phones and widely used in severs which makes them more secure along with linux.

Yes I like JAVA too much than the other programming languages. Its having applets and other hirechical function and the other most important thing in java is imprting some module of program from the other criteria.
Its much usefull and demanding language if you want your self as gamming programmer.

Java is limited.
Use C++ it's harder but better.

As per the java concern l like to say that java is the best programming language but it is not easy to learn. According to me C++ is better then the java because it is easy to learn very simple programming language where you can easily do the programming.
