ASP and PHP are both programming languages. it are commonly used to create websites.
PHP programs can also run in Windows, But ASP can now run on a Linux platform.
there are more comfortable using PHP than ASP.

I am a PHP Programmers and I don't have interest in ASP.
Similarly, just have a look on your interest and choose one. Nowadays most of us prefers to have website in PHP and some examples are WordPress and so on have been developed in PHP and also have very good scope in future.

Well, Both are best for their purpose but If you are new at programming than you should learn first basic of programming and if you want to select any one of them than you should go with PHP first because it's easy than ASP and it's always recommend to learn easy language first. PHP is widely used programming language and also easy to learn and implement, it's also affordable for you and both are best in future for their own purpose if you want an open source programming language than you should go with PHP.
