How can I learn php & mysql with the most efficiency?

I can edit php/mysql but I have a hard time writing it. I know there are php tutorial web sites and what not but what is the most efficient? I can not spend any money and am needing something that is to the point.

Hey sajeewani w3Schools has some great tutorials for beginners and pros on PHP and MySQL (as well as a big range of other things). I find that they are good for when you're starting out with a new language. Also, the PHP Manual at php.net will be invaluable to you. It's big, but it should have all the info that you will eventually need. Also, I have a little collection of eBooks that I have downloaded on the topic that have helped me out a great deal. I don't know of any that I can link to, but a quick Google search should probably get you on your way to finding some. I've watched all the lectures from the Harvard cs50 course (computer science) online for free. There may be similar things out there that could help you. YouTube could even help perhaps if you learn better by being talked through things. Good luck learning PHP and MySQL Hope you find the way of learning that suits you.

As others said , it would be better to undergo tutorial in W3schools that helps you to learn PHP from simple web based tutorials, example code and premade programs.
