Possible to read mysql_connect() from source code?

Is there any possible way that a viewer can hack into my source code and get this information?

No It is not possible to get these information from source code. because that code is compiled or interpreted on server. user can see only the output pages that's why we can't see the code of server side scripting languages by viewing source code.

The difference between what you can see via 'View source' lies as to where it is interpreted. The reason you can view HTML and CSS code by using the 'View source' option is because HTML, CSS and JavaScript code is interpreted by the browser, whereas PHP code is interpreted by the server (in other words, the PHP software on the server). "Interpreted" means that the code is translated, so to speak, into what it can do. For example <b> and </b> tags into bold, etc.
