Importance of Assebmely language

Assembly is too old language and most of the work done in assembly language can be done in C language.Why today assembly is still preferred?

I have always favoured ASM over C and it's variants.... I don't really know why but I think it's output is a lot smaller and the source code, when proficient enough to read it, is fairly elegant.

I wouldn't say assembly is too old as it still works perfectly fine.
HTML was invented to add hyperlinks to academic papers... But that is doing just fine

Assembly is second generation language.In this we used mnemonics codes.Like LDA,(load)to convert it into the machine language it used utility program called assembler.
