What is the difference between super() and this()?

[penrix]

super() is used to call super class constructor, whereas this() used to call constructors in the same class, means to call parameterized constructors.

[jessicacyrus1]

we cannot print 'super' like 'this' why because super class non-static members memory doesn't have hashcode. And also keep in mind that super method is different from super keyword.

[smt]

The super keyword in java is a reference variable that is used to refer immediate parent class object.

[chawong]

They are actually Java codes. Super code is used to access methods of the base class and This is used to the methods of the current class.

[ziya.pathan]

super is used to access methods of the base class while this is used to access methods of the current class.
Extending the notion, if you write super(), it refers to constructor of the base class, and if you write this(), it refers to the constructor of the very class where you are writing this code.
