How much cost to design a web site?

Many late adopters think a web site is extremely costly. is it right ?? i just don't know how much money to charge to my client. need some suggestion

Website is not always very costly. If it is simple HTML with simple graphics then it will be cheaper. But if a website uses heavy PHP scripting with many databases, heavy flash work then it will be expensive. It all depends on work and also on human perception.

Depends who is doing your work, if you find a noname that is talented you can get a great website for under $200.

I would say 100$ to 200$. But, If you want a lot of graphical elements on your site, ofcourse it would cost a lot expensier.

it depends on what design do you want... simple site with no forms just to advertise smth isn't so expensive...

It all depends on what someone wants on their site. I have seen some web designers who charge by the other while some charge by the project. If its a simple site, then can charge them less. The more they want in their site, means more work for you. Have you looked at what other web designers charge in your area. Some times that can help as well.
