Light or Dark designs?

Its depend on the site some sites looks good in light colors like official sites and entertainment ,games or fun sites are looks good in dark designs.

Depends only the content really, I tend to go for lighter designs on most sites, but say for a Rock Metal band site a dark theme would obviously be more appropriate.

Yep, it just depends on what kind of site you plan to have and what all you plan to put on it.

Most gaming sites now-a-days have a darker theme, as do most rock bands. Not because that is what is accepted but that is what looks the best.

Such as medical related sites need a smooth and light color. For an example, I use dark color for the photography related sites. The graphics for a website depend on the content.

It depends on the type of website that you are gonna hav! If you are gonna hav a professional looking business website, then it is preferable to use light and nice designs.
