Guide me on domain extensions

I have decided to purchase a few domain names that end with .info extension. The only reason to buy these domains is that they are available for cheap. Either I will develop them or just sell them. But, I plan to keep it with me because these domain names will be useful to me when I will be creating a website. I have learnt that they play an important role to rank the site on the search engines. However, I want to know if the domain with .info is considered by the search engine for indexing. What should I do to rank them high?

I don't think the TLD really matters in terms of search engine optimisation, but as you say the .info domains sell for lower prices so you wouldn't get as much as you could for a .com if you wanted to sell.

The value will come from the name not the TLD itself.....

.info domains are also not very bad but it would be much better if you can find a .com domain as search engines gives them first preference.

That is not true.......the engines do not care....
