    I am Confused about Google’s Current Policy

    Hello friends! My point is to receive all your comments about Google’s SE policy. This seems quite strange to me. I came across this when I was busy working on the PR of my website. At the time of establishment it received a high traffic and now it has slackened due to several reasons. I have built several backlinks and this helped by site in the 5th position on Google and the 50th position on the Bing. However, now I cannot find my site anywhere on the Google. Can you tell me why so happened? If there is a change in Google policy then I want to make a rectification. Can you please help me do so?

    Hi there,

    If you have seen a sudden change in ranking or you suspect there might be a change in Google Policy then the best place to check will be Google Webmaster Forums. I presume you have a webmaster tools account already open for your site. If not you might want to consider doing so.

      This is due to "Google dance". Sudden fluctuations in the ranking of websites are due to this policy.... Google dance refers to the updation of indexing of the websites done every month.

      You are allowed ONLY ONE picture(banner) upto 120 pixels in width and 60 pixels in height with a maximum 30kB filesize.

      In combination with a banner/picture you can have ONLY ONE LINE text link.


      Advertising
      Webmaster related advertising is allowed in Webmaster Marketplace section only. Free of charge.

      Shopping related (tangible goods) advertising is allowed in Buy Sell Trade section only. Free of charge.

      No advertising allowed except paid stickies in other sections.
