Frame background color

I have made a simple frame. Left Frame and Main Frame. I have a background color that is consistent for both pages.
In the left frame I have numerous thumbnail images and when you click on each, ideally I want the large image to open up in the main frame. I am not working with any CSS.

My problem: when the larger image opens up it has a white background and doesn't keep my colored background. Is there something that I can do so that the background stays consistent and the only thing that changes on the main frame is the enlarged image?

Try using the properties of frame in the main frameset: "allowtransparency=true" and "style=background:black"

Try another option. On the source of frameset one line you can see there is :

<style type="text/css">frameset, p {background:white}</style>

in spite of written white, try different color and see the result. May it will help you.
