1. Bad Search

2. PDF Files for Online Reading

3. Not Changing the Color of Visited Links

4. Non-Scannable Text

5. Fixed Font Size

I would add table/div hell. Newcomers to web site building often get stuck in table hell or div hell with too many nested divs or tables. I would suggest to anyone starting out with html/css to plan ahead. Get a piece of papper and draw your website before you start working on it. Dont use more than needed for in this case more is not better.

I would agree with Dagny here on the fresh content but as i have inherited a few websites that i was hired to remake i can tell you that it is a real pain if the original site maker didnt think ahead. Codes were so screwed up that i would have saved time just making the site from the start then editing someones site who used 6 stage nested divs :\
