i'll go with .jpg because of better quality but if i want the page to load fast.... i go with .gif

I always prefer .jpg

.gif has terrible quality & .bmp is too big in size.

.png . It gives your picture the quality it originally has, others makes it look bad. Although your file size increases but the quality is worth it

For small ones .gif. For bigger ones .jpg on some high quality. There is almost no point to use .jpg on highest quality.. you can then just use png

JPG, that is if I want to use it for my website. Quality of the image stays correct and the loading time of a jpg is much lower then the bmp or other files. To behonest I don't even understand why someone would save their images a bmp. I think a lot also save their images as .png ( which I also do alot lately )

I save them as .jpg a lot of time, but I also use .gif Both are good for me, so they are the ones I use most of the time

I allways send my images as .gif for use on the web. When i use images for other work it depends on the quality that i want and i will settle for jpgs as well then

.gif for me because you can use animations or pictures on that pic format.. whatever you want..

In Paint, I save in .bmp and in Photoshop, .jpg.

Again, it depends on what is being saved.

For my personal use: jpg
for webdesigning i use gif or png
sometimes use .jpg if looks good and has low size

For the internet and websites I prefer to use PNG images since they have the best quality at the smallest size. .gif are also very small in size and I use them when the quality is good (depends on the colors and comlexity of the image).
On the other hand .bmp images has a great quality as much as the size!

well. it depends. When you have some thing like "logo", illustrator pictures, i mean graphics with less color, Say "Welcome to Our Company Site" as header for content in design font.I prefer GIF. For all other photographic effects i choose JPEG format.

almost always in .jpg for smilies I use .gif

the rarely times I use paint I save it in .bmp :P
