I have also develop the website and every time i am preferred with Times New Roman font because it is simple font and it is best suited for most of the website. As per the font concern i would like to say that this is best suited font for your website. So many peoples are using this font on website.

I think the font color, size whatever depends on the website design and theme that you have chosen And once everything looks fine you need not bother for the individual entity..

Fond in the web must be accessible by the visitors ,customers if they are satsified with it then it is fine. While creating the web the fond should be easily accessible so that it gives many visitors.

I think it is up to you. You must "adjust" your font with the rest of your site..

It depends on you and your website the way you want it more attractive. Mostly, I used "Verdana" and "Comic Sans MS" font.
