If you are familiar with the Norwegian language, or you are from Scandinavia, you should try to read a book by Svend Andreas Horgen - "Webprogrammering i PHP". It will teach you all you need to know about security, PHP basics, MySQL etc.
Or you can try to use the tutorials that are posted in this thread allready .

dear friends...
Php is a good and powerful language. It is dyanamic and server side. if you need to practice it in your desktop without opening the website or upload it everytime b4 executing. then
download XAMPP and install it. it will create a local host. Add your documets in htdocs folder and execute it.

It will help you in saving time as well as learning many new things.
