Despite of many disadvantages WordPress is the world's most loving and easy to manage Content Management system, even a common man can enhance a website.

So coming to your questions, in my experience i found so many but wanna mention few below:

Issue with plugins and free themes, have to check the quality, security and features and update every time. If you do not update the latest version, then your website could be hacked.

Easily hack-able.

It's becoming commercial.

As per in the user interface and functionality, I didn't found any issue. but if we talk about security in self hosted word press then we need to choose something else. WordPress sites mostly hacks and I believe the reason are the third party plugins that we use on it.

Free theme/plugins are mostly vulnerable.
While updating the theme all modification are lost if theme is not set as parent-child.

i think customization is not easy work so you need to hire developer which is costly

Have some security vulnerabilities,wordpress site have slow compare to other site,lot of plugins are needed..

As per in the consumer interface and performance, I did not found any problem. but if we discuss about protection in self organised term media then we need to choose something else. WordPress websites mostly hackers and I believe the reason are the Alternative celebration plug-ins that we use on it.

Well, as a wordpress user I don't see any disadvantage of using the platform. That's why more and more people and even businesses are patronizing it.

Incomplete and inconsistent documentation.
Includes complex technical code.
No Support.
Unawareness about the term “slug”.
Scalability issues with data model.
Complicated multisite configuration process.
MYSQL as a database.
