      Keyword density is a combination of the number of times a keyword or a keyword phrase, in proportion with other words, appears on a Web page. The more times the keyword appears in relation to the total number of on page words, the greater the overall keyword density. The more times that other words appear, the lower the proportion of keywords, resulting in a lighter keyword density.

        The percentage of time s a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page is known as keyword density. SEO experts consider the optimum keyword density to be 1 to 3 percent.
        The formula to calculate your keyword density on a web page for SEO purposes is (Number of times repeated a specific keyword / the total words in the analyzed text) * 100. This will result in a keyword density value.

                Keyword density is the process of percentage or ratio about keyword occurrences divides by total no. of words that is called keyword density. Equation for the finding keyword density is as follows:-
                KD= keyword occurrences/total words *100
                If total no. of words is 1000 and keyword occurrences is 50 then 50/1000*100 so that keyword density is 5%.

                    Keyword density is that search engines use this information to categorize a site's theme and to determine which terms the site is relevant to. The perfect keyword density will help achieve higher search engine positions. Keyword density needs to be balanced correctly.My advice that try to include your keywords without worrying about the 3 to 4% keyword density.

                          hello friend, this is true that keyword density play a ***** role in SEO. One should also avoid keyword stuffing. Proper variation of keywords are much fruitful. Use long tail and short keywords . check properly the Webmaster tool content keywords.

                          thanks and good luck !!!!!!!!

                              Keyword density is the percentage of keywords present in 100 words total content, suppose any keyword is present 3 times in 100 words total content then keyword density would be 3%. as per the Google guidelines it should must be 2.7 to 3.2.
