    Colocation means to place your own server into a Data center and rent network and power from them. You can choose the space, power and bandwidth you need and let us take over from there. Collocation hosting helps minimize downtimes and increase availability. he hosting company that stores your server monitors and troubleshoots it for you. With colocation hosting, you can be assured of high security for your server as the hosting company’s datacenters are well equipped for it.

      Colocation is the term given to renting rackspace from a datacenter or host which provides you with an internet connection, bandwith, and power to run your own server from their hosting location.

      Dedicated servers are the responsibility of the hosting provider. They will usually manage the box for you and help with installations and reboots. They are also responsible for hardware failures.

        With colocation, you do own your hardware, but remember... that also means you will be responsible for any failures. If you rent a dedicated server, your provider will take care of any costs for you.

              Your business could be regarding outsourcing your Online world and Net utilities. The concern will unchangingly head up-Do we colocate our particular supplies or do we rent committed servers? The effortless response is that there is no effortless response. Both choice have pluses and minuses. By and by the determination in case to colocate or rent relies on the lifelong objects of your business, the unpredictability of your explanations and the number of servers your business needs. In the event that your dinero course is exceptional and your utilities can run on less than front line gear, obtaining and colocation are the approach to go.

                In my own view dedicated is better,because in this you have only to use the services,not to worry about the various troubles which often comes with server's hosting.

                  With dedicated, the storage and bandwidth is all yours, and you don't have to share resources with others on a shared server. In the real world, the storage and bandwidth will never be used, because resources will top out first.

                          Dedicated hosting is best suited for large business and high traffic which offers multiple domain names, email solutions, database and software support. On the other hand, Collocated hosting offers high bandwidth, high up time, high security and unlimited software supports.

                              The relative freedom of colocation brings with it a lot of advantages and disadvantages. The following are the advantages of colocation:

                              Higher bandwidth which means higher speed;
                              You get to decide upon the server machines’ hardware and software;
                              Opportunity and freedom to install any software and application;
                              You get to decide on the specs and capacity of your disk which is dependent upon the technical requirements of your server;
                              Full control over the removal, addition and change of any of the files in your system;
                              Full control over the processes and users in the system;
                              A 24/7 technical and service support;
                              Increased Flexibility;
                              Scalability;
                              Redundancy service and reliability, ensuring a high uptime guarantee;
                              Guarantee of a reliable power capacity that can fully accommodate and serve your computing needs;

                              The following are the advantages and disadvantages of dedicated server hosting:

                              You are assured of a top calibre server performance because you do not share the system resources like processor power, disk space and memory with any other subscriber using the facility.
                              As the whole system is dedicated for your use only, you do not run the risk of being crashed, swamped or slowed down by any other site.
                              You don’t need to worry about anybody within the server accessing your files as nobody else has access to it but you.
                              Custom Configuration of server suited to your needs.
                              Custom Firewall to enforce access control policy.
                              You have your own unique IP address.
                              Memory, more processor and disk space can be added by provider should the need arise.

                              Both hosting options has its own merits and disadvantages and there is no straight answer to the question of which is better. However, here is your guide; if your project is budget sensitive, go for a dedicated server but if you have the resources, colocation would be best for you.

                                colocation = you buy your server.
                                do this when u are seriously in the business, and confirm it will be profiting.
