How do you find your host?

I'm usually go to the forums and read the feedbacks of the web hosting company activity. Put questions to find out what I want to know. It works fine for me. I did the same things before signing up with ServerPoint.com.

I do not use google to look for web hosts.
Instead I browse many forums such as this,and and then decide which host to use.
Generally many hosting companies offer many promos and discounts in forums.
So you will get the best deal.

I use mainly domain forums like Namepros and Digitalpoint. I'm looking which hosts have there a good reputation and I choose them after i've checked their background. I've also heard about some hosts with word of mouth.

Haven't you have any problems? Is your friend a professional webhost? I've never heard that hosting with friends account could be a good thing, unless he has a reseller and money to pay it, from a respected company.
